A Poem by Lindsey Connell
GRANDMA
She's my blankets
wrapped around me tight
my every prayer
in the middle of the night.
The blowing wind
twirling in my hair
the soft whisper
my every care.
Holy water
cleansing all sins
guiding me through
as my life begins.
She's my power
refusing defeat
my every hope
that can't be beat.
A sunny day
the song of birds
allowing me to smile
when I am lost for words.
Tiny snowflakes
laughter of a child
dimples on my face
a spirit, young and wild.
She's my eyes
helping me decide
every good choice
to make in my life.
A shooting star
learning something new
a musical note
Grandma, I love you.
Loving you forever,
Lindsey

From Cindi & Scott
Dear Family,
In keeping with our environmental consciousness(skip the paper; save a
tree) and putting time and energy into fund raising for the "Adopt a
Teen" program I organize at Tyngsborough High, we will not be sending
Christmas cards this year.
We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2008 and may peace be with all of
you and your extended family. We look forward to keeping in touch with
this blog and praise Marilyn for keeping the family connected.
Love,
Cindi and Scott
P.S.
To everyone who knows my mom, Hilda, she just had her 86th birthday and
is still going strong; living alone and driving too! We have lunch
every Friday together and I take her shopping after. Her and her boyfriend
Francis have just celebrated their 20th anniversary together! Can you
imagine? He is great company for her and when Mama is happy, everyone
is happy!
